Exciting news from the folks at QuEra Computing. They successfully raised $230 million Series B, a significant round and a vote of confidence in that team and their technology. (You can read more below.)

With deep roots in the Massachusetts’ quantum ecosystem — specifically the two biggies: Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology — QuEra Computing are leveraging research on neutral atoms to develop a scalable, programmable quantum computer.

QuEra has generated a lot of buzz about their shuttling atom approach — perhaps one reason they are starting off 2025 with a strong tailwind of financial support. Pay close attention to those financial supporters, too. Their backers are some of not just some of tech’s biggest leaders, but the industry’s most important visionaries, including Google and Softbank.

Finally, hope everyone had a happy Valentine’s Day, or Qupid™’s Day, as we like to call it.

Have a great weekend!

— Matt, Chief Content Officer at The Quantum Insider
