Happy International Year of Quantum!

Itā€™s been some time, and you may notice a few changes. As we step into 2025, Iā€™ve been reflecting on the goals of the Daily Qubit and its role in serving the quantum community. Over the past year, weā€™ve explored applications across various domains together, documenting use cases and forming a comprehensive understanding of R&D trends.

This year, especially as we celebrate 100 years of quantum science, itā€™s a fitting time to focus on actionable steps that can drive the industry forward. With that in mind, Iā€™m grateful to have had the opportunity to join the Daily Qubit with the Quantum Insider. To bring even more value while respecting your inbox, the newsletter will now publish three times a weekā€”on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

While the focus has always been on highlighting research, this year, weā€™ll take it further by evaluating tools, applications, and developments in quantum with a critical lens, to answer the question on everyoneā€™s mind, ā€œShould this be done by quantum computers?ā€

Thank you for your continued support, and Iā€™m excited to share this journey with you in the year ahead.

Happy reading and onward!

USE CASE: An entangled quantum multi-agent reinforcement learning (eQMARL) framework uses quantum entanglement over quantum communication channels to promote coordination among decentralized agents. This eliminates the need to share local observations, reduces the reliance on classical communication, and improves convergence speed in distributed reinforcement learning tasks.
